Job Description

AWE Plc is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Leadership Specialist commercial procurement expert to support its Capital Engineering teams responsible for developing and managing major capital investment projects.

Location: Reading, with free onsite parking available.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £100,000 per year (dependent on experience).

Job Summary:

This role involves leading improvements and supporting our Capital Engineering teams by acting as a line of assurance in procurement strategy development and strategic sourcing events.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a procurement strategy, engage with markets, execute tenders using collaborative and innovative procurement strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and commitments to equality, fairness, and transparency.
  • Oversee complex infrastructure solution procurements, including alliances and strategic partnerships.
  • Sustain a culture that shares best practices and strives for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
  • Ensure that procurements adhere to all relevant regulation and legislation.
  • Monitor supply chain performance, maintaining contract controls.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates with high emotional intelligence, exceptional leadership skills, and expertise in complex infrastructure contract procurement, Public Contract Regulation, Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations, or Utilities Contract Regulations experience.
