**About the Role**

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to join our Chief Engineer’s Office at AWE Plc. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering strategy, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of our critical mission.

The Chief Engineer's Office is the central hub for engineering expertise, providing governance, technical support, and arbitration across the product lifecycle. As part of this team, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to set and manage the overall engineering strategy, establishing and implementing the governance framework, and optimizing engineering standards.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Supporting the Chief Engineer in setting and managing the delivery of the overall Engineering strategy
  • Establishing and implementing the governance framework for engineering
  • Optimising engineering standards and provision of technical application support

**Requirements**

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized STEM-related qualification, experience of relevant UK Legislation, and strong stakeholder management skills. They should also have a proven ability to influence key engineering activities and contribute to significant improvements in ways of working.
