Key Job Responsibilities- Work closely with teaching staff to identify and address pupil needs, developing targeted support strategies.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with parents/carers, keeping them informed about pupil progress and well-being.
- Act as a central point of contact for parents/carers regarding pastoral care and behaviour matters, providing timely support and guidance.
- Foster partnerships with external agencies and organisations, creating initiatives that enhance pupil outcomes and address barriers to learning.
- Respond to unmet family needs, including conducting early help assessments and CAFs, providing comprehensive support.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, highlighting your work with children, young people, and families.
- Operate within established school policies and procedures, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
- Design and deliver behavioural interventions to meet the unique needs of individuals or groups.
- Support vulnerable pupils during significant transitions, ensuring a smooth and successful passage.
- Working knowledge of safeguarding principles, ensuring a secure environment for all.
- Understanding of external agencies and their roles, facilitating effective collaboration.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, prioritising tasks efficiently.
