Safeguarding and Welfare Leadership

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead our safeguarding and welfare services across our schools in the eastern region of England.

Role Summary

This role involves providing strategic leadership and guidance on safeguarding and welfare matters, ensuring that our schools are safe and supportive environments for all students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide training and support to school staff and students on safeguarding and wellbeing topics, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Work closely with schools to identify and respond to safeguarding risks, developing strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and partners to ensure effective safeguarding and welfare provision across the region.
Requirements
  • Degree in Social Work, Education, or a related field, with a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and regulations.
  • Proven experience in safeguarding and welfare leadership roles, particularly in education settings.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategies to address safeguarding risks.
