Operational Shift Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Shift Co-ordinator to join our team at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our GP Collaborative Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day operational shift coordination to the administrative team, supervising call handling, control room staff, and drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Work closely with the GPC Leadership team and staff to implement operational plans, meet local and national targets, and provide leadership, support, and guidance on operational issues.
- Assist the GP Collaborative Management Team in delivering the service, managing human resources, complaints, and IT systems, ensuring an effective and efficient service.
- Manage administrative staff capacity, ensuring it meets the demands of the service, and work across the 24-hour service needs on a rota basis to provide 24-hour cover.
- Line manage designated staff in line with HR processes and policies.

Requirements- GCSE level C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification/experience.
- NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification/experience.
- IT qualification, European Computer Driving Licence/RSA/ICR III or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Excellent organisational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Problem-solving and change management skills, extensive knowledge of general office software, and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Further education in IT skills.
- Supervisory qualification.
- Knowledge of the NHS and community healthcare.
- Able to use SystmOne/TPP.
- Awareness of STH Trust policies and procedures.
