Operational Shift Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Shift Co-ordinator to join our team at the Sheffield GP Collaborative Centre. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day operational shift coordination to the administrative team, supervising call handling, control room staff, and drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Work closely with the GPC Leadership team and staff to develop and implement operational plans, ensuring effective and innovative service delivery.
- Assist the GP Collaborative Management Team in delivering the service to meet agreed aims and objectives, including human resources management, complaints, and IT systems.
- Manage administrative staff capacity effectively, ensuring adequate resources to meet service demands.
- Work across the 24-hour service, providing 24-hour cover and supporting staff to maintain service delivery.
- Line manage designated staff, adhering to HR processes and policies.

The Combined Community & Acute Group is one of the largest care groups in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, providing integrated working across acute and community services. The GP Collaborative provides urgent out-of-hours primary care services for the city of Sheffield, including clinical triage, face-to-face assessments, and home visits.
Requirements- Significant experience of working in the NHS or large, complex organisations.
- Experience of managing/leading people/staff, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, with problem-solving and change management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of general office software, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and email.
- Confident in dealing with patients, colleagues, and the public in a confidential manner.
- Ability to work on own initiative, with minimum supervision, and prioritise own workload.
