Operational Shift Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Operational Shift Co-ordinator to join our team at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our GP Collaborative Centre, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day operational shift coordination to the administrative team, supervising call handling, control room staff, and drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Work closely with the GPC Leadership team and staff to implement operational plans, meet local and national targets, and provide leadership, support, and guidance on operational issues.
- Lead on initial stages of discipline, appraisals, and staff development, ensuring that appropriate training is delivered and work performance is reviewed and progressed.
- Work flexible and varied shifts, including out-of-hours, night duties, and bank holidays, to ensure 24/7 departmental coverage.
- Assist the GP Collaborative Management Team in delivering the service, managing administrative staff capacity, and ensuring effective IT systems and processes.
- Line manage designated staff in line with HR processes and policies.

Requirements- GCSE level C or above in English and Maths or equivalent qualification/experience.
- NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent qualification/experience.
- IT qualification, European Computer Driving Licence/RSA/ICR III or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Extensive knowledge of general office software, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and E-mail.
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workload, and maintain confidentiality and security.
- Knowledge of the NHS and Community healthcare.
- Experience of using SystmOne/TPP.
- Able to handle and resolve conflict.
- Awareness of STH Trust policies and procedures.
