Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contracting Administrator to join our team at Tarmac Hendy site in Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. As a key member of our contracting team, you will provide administrative support to our operations teams and help coordinate plant equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of administrative tasks, including updating spreadsheets, processing operative timesheets, and maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Provide administrative support to maintain efficient, safe, and cost-effective site activities, as well as efficient running of the regional contracting team.
  • Coordinate training activities for all plant employees and organize labor and materials, as well as other associated requirements.
  • Comply with company health and safety policies and procedures, proactively tracking the completion of mandatory training and reporting any unsafe or hazardous working practices.
  • Manage site activities in SAP and CPA, ensuring all purchase orders are created correctly and raising purchase order requisitions.
  • Engage and develop positive relationships with suppliers and the supply chain to support the business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working within an administrative environment, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, or construction sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to tasks.
  • Confidence in your ability to organize and plan work effectively.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Positive attitude and approach to tasks.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a wider team.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to deadlines.
  • Results-driven approach - happy to motivate others.
