Medical Office Coordinator

Gillmoss Medical Centre is a fast-paced GP surgery that requires a skilled and dedicated Medical Office Coordinator. As an integral part of our team, you will provide exceptional support to our clinical staff and patients alike. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, assisting, and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional.
About the Role
This part-time position (25 hours per week) offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for undertaking various administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. This includes providing secretarial and clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team where needed. You will also facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies.
Main Responsibilities
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Processing and issuing prescriptions within standard timeframes as per practice policy
• Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system
• Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations
• Providing clerical assistance to practice staff as required from time to time, including word/data processing, filing, and photocopying
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
• Experience of working in a public-facing role
• Experience of using EMIS Web
• Experience in reception/admin role
Salary and Benefits
