About the Role


We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Leader to join our Greenwich School Years Speech and Language Therapy Leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and manage a team of professionals providing specialist services to children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).


The ideal candidate will have considerable experience working with young people with communication difficulties and possess strong leadership skills, including management training and experience of supervising colleagues.


As a key member of the service leadership team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing clinical strategies, improving patient outcomes, and enhancing the quality of care provided.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead and manage a caseload of complex cases, utilising knowledge and skills of colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment and management strategies for adolescents with SLCN.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to colleagues within the team.
  • Supervise and appraise colleagues, promoting continuous professional development.
  • Contribute to the development of service improvements, including Quality Improvement projects.
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Your Qualifications and Experience


To be successful in this role, you will require:



  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, such as RCSLT registration.
  • Considerable experience working with adolescents with SLCN.
  • Management training and experience of supervising colleagues.
  • Knowledge of health and education legislation relating to the role.
