About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex communication and swallowing difficulties in adults with mental health conditions.

Job Responsibilities
  • To use highly specialist clinical skills to manage and prioritise a complex caseload of adults with learning disabilities who present with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • To develop and implement appropriate interventions or rehabilitation, as appropriate in the community settings.
  • To apply specialist knowledge and skills to implement high and low technology alternative and augmentative communication aids with a range of service users.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist with:

  • A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Current professional registration with the Health Care Professions Council
  • Transferable clinical experience in managing dysphagia
  • Experience in promoting accessible communication

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
