Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to the Director of Midwifery and the senior midwifery team.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, including preparing agendas, attending meetings, and taking and recording minutes.

They will also be required to develop effective working relationships within the Trust and with colleagues in other Trusts, Integrated Care Board, and the wider health community.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support to the Director of Midwifery and the senior midwifery team
  • Preparing agendas and attending meetings
  • Taking and recording minutes
  • Developing effective working relationships within the Trust and with colleagues in other Trusts

Person Specification

The successful candidate will possess:

  • GCSE English Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification)
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use a variety of Microsoft software packages, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Proven secretarial skills, including word processing, audio and copy typing to a speed of 50 wpm

Desirable Qualifications

The successful candidate will also possess:

  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Experience of using PAS
  • 5 GCSE's Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications)
