About the Role

The Accounts Payable Assistant will play a vital role in the Finance Shared Service Centre of Berry Global Inc., a leading global manufacturer of packaging and engineered materials. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable processes, supporting the division's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile a high volume of invoices and credit notes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including supplier statements and payment runs.
  • Collaborate with sites and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support the wider AP team during peak periods, providing assistance and expertise as needed.
  • Perform due diligence checks and maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and export weekly payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Audit employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and literacy skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working in an accounts payable department, with a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office packages, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
