  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a shared understanding of these objectives and to monitor their progress.
  • Engage with the area team social worker to align the school's targets with the social worker's activities.
  • Meet with family members to maintain contact, encourage cooperation in achieving goals, and facilitate home leave arrangements. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Ensure that the placement plan for each child or young person is documented according to the Centre's requirements.
  • Provide necessary reports to relevant authorities within specified timelines.

  • Understand the dynamics of relationships among young people, actively working to prevent bullying and unhealthy associations.
  • Establish a safe environment where issues of abuse can be disclosed.
  • Comprehend the roles of all stakeholders involved in the care of young individuals.
  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external parties.
  • Collaborate with representatives from various agencies, presenting clear information about the needs and progress of the children.
  • Exhibit knowledge of relevant legislation and an understanding of human development stages and the factors influencing behavior.
  • Manage personal motivation and relationships with children, colleagues, and administrative duties.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level 3 in Care, or equivalent qualifications, or the willingness to pursue these qualifications.
  • Experience working with young individuals or providing support to vulnerable populations is essential.
  • Experience in the social care sector and residential childcare is desirable.
  • Willingness to work across various services within the Kibble Group.
  • Successful candidates will need to register with the SSSC within the required timeframe.
