Job Description

Job Title: Project Delivery Director

Job Summary:

Thames Water is seeking a highly experienced Project Delivery Director to lead our Wastewater project delivery teams in London and surrounding areas. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and successful delivery of above-ground wastewater treatment assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of complex capital projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage a team of project managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver projects successfully.
  • Develop and implement project management processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring projects are delivered safely and sustainably.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex capital projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, including MS Project and Asana.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, including finance, procurement, and supply chain management.
