Job Title: Area Registered Manager (dual) - Cheshire and Liverpool

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Area Registered Manager to lead our Supported Living Services in Cheshire and Liverpool. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care services that meet the needs of our service users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the requirements to register for CQC (This is either for single or dual registration)
  • Create a positive team culture and role model excellent leadership and management practices where the company values are demonstrated
  • Deliver responsive, effective, safe, caring and support in a person-centred manner
  • Establish good relationships with families, commissioners, advocates and other professionals
  • Ensure outcomes for those within our services are met and reviewed in recognition of personal growth and development
  • Guiding practice within the team, delivering outcomes-based and person-centred services ensuring all our decisions are underpinned by the MCA/BI principles.
  • Deliver the outcomes identified in the Quality Governance Strategy and Support Plans as appropriate
  • Responding to the local need, filling voids within the service in a timely manner whilst supporting individual preferences, wishes and desires
  • Supporting colleagues in monitoring and managing KPI data. employee retention, sickness absence levels and void fill
  • Encouraging an open culture in the team, listening to, and acting on opportunities and issues raised by the team where appropriate.
  • Manage compliance with the company quality & assurance and improvement process and preferred practices, such as quality audits and reviews.
  • Assure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Promoting and delivering person centered support, including positive risk assessment and management and positive behavioral support
  • Ensure maintenance of a factual and accurate record of care delivery
  • Recruitment and retention of the staffing establishment required to deliver an effective service in accordance with company policy, inclusive recruitment methods and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and implement effective rotas and ensure all employees are paid correctly.
  • Provide a first-class induction and employee experience to all team members, bringing the values and behaviours of Aspirations Care to life at every opportunity

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Management or equivalent professional / academic qualification or willing to work towards
  • Proven experience at a manager/supervisory level within Learning disabilities and/or mental health sector
  • Experience of working as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Experience of recruiting (safer recruitment), inducting and training staff teams
  • Experience of conducting disciplinary investigations and writing investigation reports
  • Experience of working with individuals that have complex needs and demonstrate challenging behaviour
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Concise, informative and accurate report writing skills
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements/best practice
  • Ability to support people in the community with an appropriate degree of risk management, within a legal framework (ie MCA/MHA)
  • Numerical competence (rotas, financial matters)
  • Ability to supervise others
  • Flexible & committed and able to participate in on call duties
  • Honest, trustworthy, tolerant, patient
  • Committed to anti-oppressive practice

Additional Requirements:

  • Full clean driving licence
  • DBS Check
  • Suitable References on appointment

Ensuring the Business Remains Financially Viable:

  • A key responsibility of an Area Registered Manager is ensuring the service provided is financially viable
  • Staff levels are in line with supported commissioned hours
  • Expenditure is monitored and maintained
  • Authorisation is requested prior to agreed limits
  • Agency is limited and only used as a last resort

Health and Safety:

  • All employees are subject to the Health and Safety at Work Act and to ensure compliance employees should
  • Co-operate with the Company to ensure that regulations are adhered to by employees and visitors
  • Undertake duties and responsibilities in full accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures and legislation
  • Not interfere with or to misuse anything provided in the interests of health and safety or welfare
  • Ensure and observe that infection control policy is adhere to, through audit and observations, that PPE is worn as per government guidelines and when delivering personal care
  • Record and report through CPOMS and escalate as required any defects in equipment or the working environment
  • Provide a safe working environment

Personal Development:

  • To actively participate in own supervision and personal review processes in accordance with company policy
  • To undertake any training that is deemed needed and mandatory by the company
  • Commit to an agreed programme of personal development, training activities and undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as determined by the Company
