Job Title: Area Registered Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Area Registered Manager to join our team at Aspirations Care Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Supported Living Services in Cheshire and Liverpool, ensuring that we deliver exceptional support services to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet the requirements for CQC registration and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create a positive team culture and role model excellent leadership and management practices.
  • Deliver responsive, effective, safe, and caring support in a person-centred manner.
  • Establish good relationships with families, commissioners, advocates, and other professionals.
  • Ensure outcomes for individuals are met and reviewed in recognition of personal growth and development.
  • Guide practice within the team, delivering outcomes-based and person-centred services.
  • Respond to local needs, fill voids in services, and support individual preferences, wishes, and desires.
  • Support colleagues in monitoring and managing KPI data, employee retention, sickness absence levels, and void fill.
  • Encourage an open culture in the team, listening to and acting on opportunities and issues raised.
  • Manage compliance with quality and assurance processes, including quality audits and reviews.
  • Assure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote and deliver person-centred support, including positive risk assessment and management.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate records of care delivery.
  • Recruit and retain staff to deliver an effective service, in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and implement effective rotas and ensure accurate payment of employees.
  • Provide a first-class induction and employee experience to all team members.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 5 in Management or equivalent professional/academic qualification.
  • Proven experience at a manager/supervisory level within the learning disabilities and/or mental health sector.
  • Experience of working as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team (MDT).
  • Experience of recruiting, inducting, and training staff teams.
  • Experience of conducting disciplinary investigations and writing investigation reports.
  • Experience of working with individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Concise, informative, and accurate report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of CQC requirements and best practice.
  • Ability to support individuals in the community with an appropriate degree of risk management.
  • Numerical competence (rotas, financial matters).
  • Ability to supervise others.
  • Flexible and committed, with the ability to participate in on-call duties.
  • Honest, trustworthy, tolerant, patient, and committed to anti-oppressive practice.

Other Requirements:

  • Full clean driving licence.
  • DBS Check.
  • Suitable references on appointment.

Ensuring Financial Viability:

  • Ensure the service provided is financially viable.
  • Monitor staff levels, expenditure, and agency usage.
  • Work with the Business Development team to develop new business and commission new services.
  • Manage voids in services and market them proactively to minimize void periods.
  • Assess new referrals and submit costing for approval.

Health and Safety:

  • Cooperate with the Company to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Undertake duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures.
  • Record and report defects in equipment or the working environment.
  • Provide a safe working environment.

Personal Development:

  • Participate in own supervision and personal review processes.
  • Undertake any training deemed necessary by the Company.
  • Commit to an agreed programme of personal development and training activities.

The post holder must respect the confidentiality of information in line with the Data Protection Act.
