Job Title: ASC Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at an amazing school in Merton. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a positive impact on the development of young people with special educational needs.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a nurturing environment to ensure effective social, emotional, and educational development of students with a wide range of disabilities and special educational needs. They will collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCOs to devise and deliver person-centered learning and care, monitor and record progress, and build strong relationships with students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work efficiently in a team to provide support to students with SEND
  • Have a resilient mindset and the ability to face and overcome challenges
  • Have compassion and patience when working with children with SEND
  • Have confidence to take initiative and work independently
  • Previous experience in dealing with young people with different SEND is preferable
  • Available to start ASAP
  • Have a qualification in Team Teach (ideal but not essential)
