Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - SEND

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Starfyn Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching professionals to provide individualized support to students with a range of needs, including complex physical disabilities, medical needs, speech and language difficulties, and vision and multi-sensory impairment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students before, during, and after lessons to promote their understanding and participation.
  • Assist students with their learning, including helping them to access the curriculum and develop their skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Support students with their personal care needs, including medical and physical support.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting the well-being and dignity of all students.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
