Job Summary:
We're looking for a skilled SEN teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students and work with a supportive team. As a key member of our team, you'll provide individualized support to students, working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other TAs to create tailored learning plans. Your goal is to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and other TAs to develop personalized learning plans
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
  • Support students' social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence

Requirements:
We seek psychology graduates with a passion for education and SEN, or those with experience in SEN and/or Makaton. Essential skills include excellent communication, patience, and empathy, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare is also required.
