About the SEN Teaching Assistant Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Drama graduate to join our team as an SEN Teaching Assistant in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans for students with special needs.
  • Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, utilizing drama techniques and creative approaches to engage and motivate students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A degree in Drama or a related field.
  • A passion for working with children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
