Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Student Support

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Location: Waltham Forest, London

Salary: Estimated £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Job Description:
We're seeking a dedicated SEN teaching assistant to join our team in Waltham Forest. As a key member of our team, you'll provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and other TAs to create tailored learning plans. Your goal is to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, helping students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and other TAs to develop personalized learning plans
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring student progress
  • Support students' social and emotional development, promoting independence and confidence

Requirements:
We seek psychology graduates with a passion for education and SEN, or those with experience in SEN and/or Makaton. Essential skills include excellent communication, patience, and empathy, as well as strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare is also required.
