The Job
We require a Care Support Specialist to support an elderly lady in her late 70s who suffers from early onset Alzheimer's and Dementia, as well as being blind. The ideal candidate will be able to form a good relationship with the lady and gain her trust, enabling them to support her with everyday activities and social inclusion.
The successful candidate will ensure the lady takes prescribed medications, assist with breakfast and lunchtimes, including preparation and ensuring she eats. They may also be required to support with bathing if requested, as well as providing personal care at the lady's request.
The role involves supporting the lady with all daily activities within and around the home, as well as accompanying her to local activities and coffee mornings. This will enable her to enjoy her social activities and live a fulfilling life.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be patient, understanding, and hold a full clean driving licence. While fluency in Polish is not essential, it would be beneficial for the lady who speaks Polish.
Salary Information
The salary for this position is approximately £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, dependent on experience. However, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects the importance of this role in supporting our service users.
