Role Description:

The Director of Procurement, Information and Communication Technology will lead the transformation of Ardagh's ICT to support the glass and metal production businesses in achieving sustainable competitive advantage and delivery sector-leading value. This role is an integral part of the global ICT leadership team, working closely with the Chief Information Officer to deliver the transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement exemplar procurement strategies for the ICT function aligned to the wider Ardagh and ICT strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to align procurement activity with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and manage supplier performance issues.
  • Oversee the creation, negotiation, and management of contracts for ICT products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of ICT procurement professionals.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with ICT procurement.
  • Ensure business continuity by securing critical ICT supplies and services.
  • Work closely with ICT, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for procurement initiatives.
  • Communicate procurement strategies and policies to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Act as a point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and issues.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits of the procurement function and its activities, and lead the work to address findings as appropriate.
