Role Overview

This position involves working as a specialist in child mental health, providing assessment and treatment services to young people in need. As a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing care plans, and delivering safe and effective home treatment to children and adolescents.

The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. You will also need to have experience working with vulnerable populations and be familiar with relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of children and adolescents, including risk assessments and development of individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver home-based treatment services to young people, including counseling, therapy, and support.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care.
  • Provide education and training to family members and caregivers on mental health issues and support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions, progress, and outcomes.
