Senior Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled General Adult Psychiatry Lead to join our newly transformed Telford & Wrekin Community Mental Health Service.
This is a permanent full-time post in General Adult Psychiatry, providing timely and comprehensive assessment, interventions, and treatment to service users and their families/carers.
The role involves clinical leadership to the team as part of a collective leadership structure, providing support and supervision to Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Non-Medical Prescribers.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for supervising a trainee attached to the team and opportunities for postgraduate and undergraduate education.

- Potential of extra PA for DCC with requisite pay per PA
- Inclusion on the Consultant on-call rota for the higher level with 3%, 5% or 8% requisite pay depending on frequency

The successful candidate will have a Medical Degree, MRC Psych or equivalent, and experience in General Adult Psychiatry at ST 4 -6 level or equivalent senior level. Estimated salary: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum.
Clinical and Professional Competence- Eligible for inclusion on the specialist register (senior trainees must be within six months of CCT at the point of interview)
