Payroll Administrator

The Hales Group is seeking a skilled Payroll Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Payroll Assistant, you will be responsible for administering payroll, completing weekly checks, and supporting Managers with employee payments.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify weekly payments and absences input by Managers.
Identify and rectify any discrepancies.
Upload and check data spreadsheets into the payroll system.
Create reports with information pertaining to payroll.
Handle voluntary and involuntary deductions.
Enter changes to employee payroll and HR records.
Reconcile the monthly payroll with generated reports.
Action leavers and department transfers (approximately 40-60 per month).
Track underlying trends with issues such as absence.
Communicate with Managers and employees regarding changes in role, salary, benefits, etc.
Support the HR function with uniform ordering and invoice reconciliation.
Maintain awareness of pension legislation and reporting.
Requirements:
Payroll experience is essential.
Knowledge of Midland HR/iTrent HR/Payroll is desirable.
Candidates must be highly proficient in Excel.

Working Hours:
The salary is based on 18 hours per week, with a full-time equivalent of £24,500 per annum. The hours of work are Monday 9.00am - 5.00pm, with flexible hours for Friday and one other day of the week. Around 18 - 20 hours as week.
