About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist to join our team at Yours Clothing. As a key member of our digital marketing team, you will be responsible for driving organic traffic and revenue growth through effective search engine optimisation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement on-site and off-site SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic
- Conduct regular competitor keyword gap analysis and research to identify new opportunities for growth
- Perform regular keyword research to inform business objectives and seasonality
- Optimise categories, sub-categories, and campaigns to align with customer trends and seasonality
- Write engaging blog content and report on performance to inform trade teams and drive organic traffic
- Conduct regular technical site audits to monitor crawl errors, page speed, and core web vitals
- Collaborate with the dev team to resolve site errors and ensure best practice is followed
- Manage Google Search Console errors and ensure schema mark-up is up-to-date
- Regularly audit and optimise XML sitemaps to ensure best practice
- Work with the wider marketing team on link building projects to secure high-quality backlinks
- Stay up-to-date with search industry news, insights, and Google algorithm updates
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good Excel skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to tasks
- Proven ability to work well within a team and use own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- High attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to succeed
- Proven SEO experience required – either in-house or agency side
- Knowledge of SEO best practice to ensure search rankings
- Ability to confidently report on key performance metrics to managers
- Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects
- Confident using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, and other SEO tools
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how they affect SEO
- Experience copywriting
- Experience with eCommerce sites
- PPC knowledge desirable
- Retail or Fashion experience desirable
