Nixon Caunce Associates is a reputable SME organisation based in Leyland Preston, dedicated to delivering exceptional services to our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Sales and Purchase Ledger Coordinator to join our finance team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sales ledger and credit control duties, purchase ledger duties, and general month end accounts duties. This includes accurate and timely banking of cash and cheque receipts, effective communication with customers, daily reconciliation and recording of bank statement payments, and efficient scanning and allocation of purchase ledger invoices.

Key Responsibilities:

* Sales Ledger/Credit Control Duties:

• Manage sales ledger and credit control duties, ensuring accurate and timely banking of cash and cheque receipts, and effective communication with customers.
• Reconcile daily bank statement receipts, and maintain accurate records of sales ledger accounts.
• Implement company credit check procedures for new credit account applications, promoting responsible lending practices.

* Purchase Ledger Duties:

• Oversee purchase ledger duties, including daily reconciliation and recording of bank statement payments, and efficient scanning and allocation of purchase ledger invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements, and produce month-end reports and balancing of control accounts.
• Ensure timely payment runs by BACS, cheque, and faster payments to outstanding creditors.

* General Month End Accounts Duties:

• Develop skills within the department, including experience with stock management, sales, purchase, and nominal ledger (including journal posting).
• Collaborate with the Accountant, Finance Manager, and Finance Director, or a member of the Management Team, on sundry requests/projects.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar finance role with both sales and purchase ledger experience.
* AAT Part qualified/qualified.
