International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives: Sound Archivist Position

As a leading international organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of sound and audiovisual archives, we are seeking a skilled Sound Archivist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for cataloguing a wide variety of audio content, including classical music recordings. This requires excellent cataloguing skills, a deep understanding of data standards, and the ability to apply these standards in a practical context.

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level qualification or significant professional experience in a related field, such as library science or archive management. They will also have strong IT skills, good communication and time management abilities, and a broad subject knowledge base.

Aural identification of instruments and styles is essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The estimated salary for this position is £38,000 per annum.
