Sound Archive Professional Roles in Europeana Sounds Project

We are seeking two experienced professionals to join the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives team, working on the Europeana Sounds project. This initiative aims to improve discovery and access to Europe's rich digital sound and music collections by enriching metadata and increasing online content.

As part of this exciting project, we are recruiting for two roles: a Project Manager and a Project Support Officer. Both positions are based in London and offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of sustainable best practices in audiovisual archiving.

  • Project Manager: This role involves overseeing the project's daily operations, ensuring timely delivery of objectives, and coordinating with partners. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience in project management. Salary Range: £38,891 - £45,168 per annum, fixed-term contract until 31 March 2017.
  • Project Support Officer: As a key member of the project team, the Project Support Officer will provide administrative support, assist with events, and maintain records. A strong understanding of audiovisual archives is essential, along with excellent communication skills. Salary: £16,798 per annum (pro rata), fixed-term contract until 31 March 2017.

The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team contributing to the growth of Europeana Sounds, enhancing access to European cultural heritage, and developing expertise in audiovisual preservation.
