Job Purpose: Activus Recruitment is seeking a skilled Plant Workshop Foreperson to supervise the maintenance and repair of plant and equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure professional standards are achieved and maintained, workshops are run efficiently and productively, and compliance with HSE Legislation is upheld.

Duties:
* Provide technical, supervisory, and administrative support for plant and equipment activities within the department.
* Supervise the effective and efficient running of workshops and associated yard areas, ensuring safe and environmental systems of work are maintained at all times.
* Ensure plant and equipment maintenance and repair works are carried out in a cost-effective and efficient manner, minimizing downtime.
* Monitor the quality of work produced by plant fitters and identify improvement opportunities.
* Provide advice and guidance on part of purchases and optimal stock holding levels.
* Adhere to the oil and lubricants issue system for plant and equipment.
* Ensure workshop and third-party fitters utilize appropriate PPE and other safety equipment.
* Ensure third-party fitters and contractors adhere to company HSE policies, with particular attention to Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of HSE Legislation and best practices in plant maintenance and repair.
