Project Engineer – Aberdeen
Job Overview:
This role involves managing projects in compliance with the CDM Regulations 2015. Responsibilities include estimating initial queries, liaising with clients, preparing and maintaining HSEQ documentation, making commercial decisions, reporting, site setup, new supply/manufacture or refurbishment of existing plant and equipment, managing subcontractors and suppliers, and ensuring safe site commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects as directed by the Divisional Manager.
* Oversee onsite projects in line with CDM Regulations 2015.
* Estimate projects based on customer inquiries, scope, specifications, and requirements.
* Plan and manage projects from start to finish.
* Create, manage, and maintain all necessary HSEQ documentation.
* Liaise with clients, attend meetings, provide reports, and communicate effectively.
* Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.
* Conduct HSEQ site audits and generate reports.
* Organize and manage subcontractors involved in the projects.
* Supervise site personnel and supervisors during onsite work.
* Handle project documentation control and certification.
* Report on project progress, commercial status, and HSEQ matters to the Divisional Manager.
* Ensure a safe and clean working environment, always using appropriate PPE.
* Comply with CDM Regulations 2015, HSE ACOPs, customer specifications, and company work instructions.
* Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
* Perform any additional tasks as requested by the Divisional Manager or Senior Management.
Skills and Competencies:
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and BOMs.
* Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software packages.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
* Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
* Willingness to work away from home and do overtime when required.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade qualification.
* Preferred 5 years of practical experience in mechanical, fabrication, or piping engineering.
* Experience working on CDM worksites is advantageous.
* Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 45001 is preferred.
* A full, clean driving license is preferred.
Remuneration
On offer for this position is a salary of up to £50K plus additional benefits
