About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a Nursing Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to older adults, ensuring their physical health needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver physical health clinics with a focus on compassionate and personalized care.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical health assessments, including vital signs and phlebotomy, and complete monitoring forms.
  • Take a medical history, including family history and lifestyle issues, and follow up on national screening programs.
  • Support in developing person-centered plans for service users, taking into consideration physical health risks and needs.
  • Work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, following nationally recognized codes of conduct and standards of proficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families, ensuring the privacy, dignity, and safety of individuals at all times.
Person Specification
  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Community experience working with older adults with mental health problems.
  • Ability to undertake and understand physiological measurements and observations, pulse oximetry, and general observations.
  • Ability to travel to NHS and Local Authority sites and patients' homes.
