About the Role

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Nursing Associate to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care to older adults. As a Nursing Associate, you will work alongside our experienced healthcare professionals to ensure the physical health needs of our patients are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver physical health clinics with a focus on compassionate and personalized care.
  • Conduct comprehensive physical health assessments, including vital signs and phlebotomy, and complete monitoring forms.
  • Take a medical history, including family history and lifestyle issues, and follow up on national screening programs as needed.
  • Support the development of person-centered plans and engage with patients to access health services relevant to their individual needs.
  • Work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, adhering to policies and protocols, and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.

Person Specification

  • Registered Nursing Associate on the NMC register.
  • Community experience working with older adults with mental health problems.
  • Ability to undertake and understand physiological measurements and observations, pulse oximetry, and general observations.
  • Ability to travel to NHS and Local Authority sites and patients' homes.
