£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Visitor Experience team as a Visitor Experience Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational delivery of our public tours and walks programme, ensuring it is consistently delivered to a high standard and sufficiently resourced with staff and volunteers.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Operational responsibility for the visitor journey and experience, staffing resources and programming at the Wedding Cake/Dairy site, as well as any satellite exhibition spaces.
  • Liaison with various teams and departments to ensure efficient management of spaces and resources.
  • Conduct informative briefings for staff and volunteer teams ahead of tours and walks.
Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in a visitor-facing environment, preferably in a museum or heritage setting.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and external partners.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
