Autism Education Specialist Role

We are seeking a dedicated Autism Education Specialist to join our team at SANZA Teaching Agency. As a Learning Disability Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who require additional support in a purpose-built environment.

About the School
The school is a primary setting for children from ages 3 to 11 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have a diagnosis of ASD. The class you will be working in may present challenging behavior, but your patience and understanding will be invaluable in supporting these children's development.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting children with their educational and personal needs, encouraging independence and promoting positive behavior.
  2. Working collaboratively with the teaching staff to develop individualized learning plans and strategies.
  3. Providing personal care and emotional support to the children as needed.
  4. Communicating effectively with adults and children to ensure seamless support and collaboration.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience working with children with special needs or a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proactive and patient approach to working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Ability to form strong relationships with the children and staff.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Estimated Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 per annum
