We are seeking an experienced IT service management professional to join our team as the Head of IT Service Management.

About the Role

This is a pivotal position in shaping the IT strategy and ensuring seamless service delivery across the council. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Service management, incident and problem management, and service catalogue product delivery
  2. Supplier, contract, and commercial management
  3. Developing and implementing a robust IT service management framework, aligned with strategic goals
  4. Driving performance improvements, ensuring compliance, and managing relationships with external partners
  5. Preparing for the transition to a new IT service provider

As the successful candidate, you will have a strong background in IT networks, cloud technologies, M365, and cyber security basics. You will also possess leadership skills to manage teams, budgets, and communicate complex technical challenges to non-technical audiences. Strong commercial acumen and experience working in the public sector or local authority would be advantageous.

About the Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
