We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Psychologist to join our team at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity is part of our ongoing commitment to expanding psychological provision throughout our mental health and dementia pathways. As a Mental Health Psychologist, you will play a key role in shaping the service provision and care for older people in Lincolnshire.
As an applied practitioner psychologist, your primary focus will be on training, supervision, consultation, reflective practice, formulation groups, joint assessment, and providing tailored specialist psychological therapy as needed. Alongside clinical work, you will support the service development activities of the Consultant with a view to further expanding psychological provision for older people with mental health difficulties and dementia throughout the county.
The ideal candidate will have doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Post-doctorate training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- To provide placements for trainees from local DClinPsy courses, as well as other relevant courses
- To recruit and supervise growing numbers of psychological staff and provide clinical support to non-psychology colleagues
- Maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and participate in audit and service evaluation projects to enhance provision, including Trauma Informed Care approaches
- Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) upon completion of doctoral training
- Post-doctorate training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice
- Experience of working with older adults, individuals with cognitive impairment and/or dementia, and complex and acute mental health difficulties
We offer a competitive salary of £53,755 - £60,504 per annum and flexible working options to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
