The successful candidate will work closely with teachers in an Early Years classroom environment, providing one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.

Daily responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Working alongside class teachers to adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of children with SEN
  • Supporting students in developing social, communication, and life skills
  • Monitoring and recording student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Previous experience working with children with complex needs in a primary school environment
  • A relevant qualification in special education or child development (e.g. CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare)
  • Strong knowledge of various learning needs, physical disabilities, and behavioural disorders
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for supporting young children in a classroom
