Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of clinical practice.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical care: The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, using their advanced clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team: The successful candidate will lead a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to clinical practice development: The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will contribute to the development of clinical practice, policies, and procedures, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
  • Collaborate with other teams: The successful candidate will work closely with other teams, including medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives: The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice: The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or a related field.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body: The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will be registered with the relevant professional body, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care: The successful candidate will have experience working in Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care, with a strong understanding of the complexities of this specialty.
  • Leadership and management skills: The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
