Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Clinical Nurse Specialist team within the Rheumatology Service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the clinical expert and professional resource for patients, their carers, and the multi-professional team.
- Lead, manage, and develop a specialist clinical service and team.
- Directly or indirectly influence all aspects of care and management of patients within the service/speciality.
- Ensure the delivery of the highest quality, clinical effective care, and patient experience, prioritising and utilising research and in collaboration with colleagues in everyday practice.
- Provide direction and clinical leadership, working in partnership with the specialist team and multi-professional team to enhance standards and best practice of care across the service.
- Promote and lead the development and delivery of a programme of practice and professional development for staff within the speciality.
- Work collaboratively with the research team to deliver research projects within the Rheumatology department.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for an individual who is driven, flexible, dynamic, self-motivated, and reliable, with leadership qualities and evidence of continuing professional development. The successful candidate will work autonomously but will have the support of the team of consultants, clinical nurse specialists, an advanced nurse practitioner and matron.
Requirements- Advanced clinical assessment
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills in contexts that are unfamiliar, complex, and unpredictable and provide consultancy services to their own and other professions on therapeutic interventions, practice and service development;
- Advanced clinical reasoning skills to comprehensively assess patients
- Experience in independently facilitating Nurse-led clinics
- Ability to develop working relationships locally, regionally and nationally
- A track record of continuously contributing to education and teaching
- A Masters level qualification/in progress or equivalent experience
