Rail Bid Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Bid Manager to join our engineering division in SYSTRA UK & Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the expansion of our engineering business by leading and managing prequalifications and tenders from initial notification to successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage prequalifications and tenders from initial notification to successful delivery
- Build relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors to translate their challenges into successful opportunities for business development
- Take ownership and responsibility for driving day-to-day interaction with SYSTRA teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver bid/tender documentation on time and to a high standard
- Consider commercial and proposal activities to maximise profit and enhance SYSTRA Ltd's market positioning
- Produce financial models and SYSTRA Business Income Statement in line with finance department requirements
- Engage with the legal team to ensure all contractual, legal, and insurance issues are considered
- Proven history of successful bid/proposal delivery with a sound understanding of commercial and contract terms
- Experience in bids delivery in the engineering/rail/energy sectors
- Ability to understand client needs and translate these into concrete technical solutions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel particularly)
- Self-motivated with excellent personal time management skills
