About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team in Derbyshire Adult CMHTs. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing individual and group clinical work, promoting psychological ideas, and contributing to service development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for service users with complex mental health problems.
  • Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of service users' psychological difficulties.
  • Consult, advise, and/or supervise colleagues from other disciplines on the psychological formulation and management of patients with mental health problems.
  • Contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all users of the service.
Requirements
  • Good Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and post-graduate doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
  • Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist by the HCPC and eligible for Chartered status of BPS.
  • Post qualification training in supervision of other psychologists and specialist training/experience of assessment/intervention for people with complex mental health problems.
