Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist Band 7/8a

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations to individuals, families, and groups.

About the Role:
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the development of new treatments and interventions.
  • Supervise and train junior staff members.

Requirements:
  • Good Honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above).
  • Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 6 or those in lateral transfer).
  • Eligible for Chartered status of BPS.
  • Post qualification training in supervision of other psychologists.
  • Post qualification specialist training/experience of assessment/intervention for people with complex mental health problems.
