Responsibilities:

* Process all sales invoices each day, submitting as required, using customer portals and management systems
* Reconcile customer accounts and send statements
* Ensure accounts are maintained within agreed terms and credit limits
* Telephone chasing of clients for overdue invoices
* Report outstanding debt to the Credit Team Leader and communicate potential debtor issues
* Indicate to the Group Credit Manager if legal action is required
* Handle customer queries and assist with discrepancies in a timely manner
* Liaise with different departments to resolve issues
* Process and manage high volumes of data using Excel
* Keep a record of customer accounts, payment terms, and invoicing instructions
* Maintain records of debtors and expected income, creating reports for management
* Maintain a database of customer information on Excel and the NetSuite system
* Work closely with the accounts team, keeping records up to date, processing payments, and assisting with month-end tasks
* Ad hoc duties and covering for other staff members

Requirements:

* Recent experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
* Excellent negotiation skills and a professional telephone manner
* Good spoken and written communication skills, with an assertive and organized approach
* Significant numerical knowledge and advanced computer literacy, particularly in MS Excel and Word
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with an innovative mindset
* Reliability, approachability, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Quick adaptability to new systems and procedures
