About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing nurturing and structured care to children and young people within our residential homes. You will be responsible for their daily well-being, supporting them in developing essential life skills, and fostering a safe and encouraging environment.

  • Delivering Person-Centered Care: You will work closely with each child, understanding their unique needs and aspirations to create individualized care plans that promote their growth and development.
  • Creating a Supportive Home Environment: You will contribute to the smooth running of the home, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere. This includes tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and general housekeeping.
  • Facilitating Activities and Engagement: You will plan and organize engaging activities that promote social interaction, personal development, and recreational pursuits.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will work effectively with a team of dedicated professionals, including therapists, educators, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support for the children in our care.
  • Promoting Positive Behavior: You will utilize positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive.

Qualifications and Requirements

While experience working with children is beneficial, it is not essential. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role. A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being are paramount.
