About the Role

We are seeking a skilled physiotherapist to join our team as a disability assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will conduct assessments and produce reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine a person's eligibility for benefits.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a physiotherapist functional assessor at Maximus, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives while developing your clinical knowledge and assessment skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine a person's eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision

Requirements:

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • You must have the right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is £37,800 per annum. We also offer flexible working arrangements, including full-time and part-time options, as well as hybrid roles that combine remote and office work.
