Paediatrics Teaching Fellow

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced doctor to join our team as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Paediatrics. This is an exciting opportunity for a doctor with a passion for teaching to enhance their skills in medical education while maintaining limited but focused clinical duties.
Main Duties of the JobThis is a Trust Clinical teaching fellow post suitable for doctors ST3 – ST7 or equivalent. The Trust is committed to supporting the post holder in developing their clinical and teaching career in Paediatrics. The appointee will be responsible for organising and delivering teaching for undergraduate medical students, physician associate students, and students on elective placements.
Teaching DutiesThe Clinical teaching fellow will work under the direct supervision of the site lead for undergraduate teaching in Paediatrics and the local undergraduate Associate Dean. The post holder will be involved in planning the rotation of medical students, providing induction to each new intake of students, teaching clinical skills, and coordinating junior and senior medical staff for bedside teaching.
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience in Paediatrics, MRCPCH – Part-1, and current GMC registration. A postgraduate exam such as MRCPCH etc, or equivalent, is desirable. The candidate should also have demonstrable experience in teaching and other aspects of education, including NLS and APLS. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and time management are essential.
