Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Ophthalmology to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital. As a fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care to patients with complex eye conditions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of patients with paediatric eye conditions, including corneal grafting, glaucoma, and oculoplastic procedures.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in paediatric ophthalmology, including surgical skills and knowledge of eye anatomy and physiology.
  • Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in teaching and training activities, including presenting at conferences and workshops.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
Person Specification
  • Primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration
  • MRCP, MRCPCH, MRCOphth, or equivalent
  • Research publications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise clinical needs and work effectively as part of a team
